BAADER HELVEA SWISS EQUITIES CONFERENCE BRINGS COMPANIES AND INVESTORS TOGETHER

At the 14th Baader Helvea Swiss Equities Conference which took place from 11- 12 January 2018 in Bad Ragaz 62 leading Swiss companies met with 270 institutional investors from 15 countries. Key decision-makers provided strategy updates and discussed their companies' performance over the last few quarters in numerous individual presentations.

The current favorable macroeconomic conditions were reflected in a very positive outlook the presenting companies were giving for 2018. In view of the good prospects for the global economy, a high degree of confidence in the potential for further earnings increases was clearly evident. The additional tailwind coming from the recent depreciation of the Swiss Franc was also frequently mentioned. Against this backdrop, numerous companies confirmed their intention to keep investing in growth opportunities. In many cases, companies also expressed willingness for further acquisitions. Despite the very confident mood, most managers confirmed their goal to maintain a solid financial position and to allow shareholders to participate in the expected profit growth.

"Despite MiFID II the number of participants, both among companies and institutional investors, remained stable, demonstrating that our top-of-the-line conference program and the quality of presentations at the Baader Helvea Swiss Equities Conference have helped to establish an unrivalled international reputation over the years," said Oliver Riedel, member of the Baader Bank Board of Directors. "The great success of and positive feedback for the Swiss Equities Conference confirms that Baader Bank is on the right strategic track."
